The Role of Nurse in the Dialysis Unit

Medical Care Unit F is a combined outpatient clinic with a nephrology clinic, peritoneal dialysis, and hemodialysis. In this role, you will work with hemodialysis, which is a high-tech treatment planned according to the patient's individual conditions. The goal is for the patient to be involved in their care, to live an active life with good quality of life despite chronic illness. You will be responsible for several patients and work with patient conversations, medical rounds, contact with relatives, and other healthcare professionals. The work is done in a team with, among others, a dietitian, physiotherapist, and social worker. Documentation is done in Cosmic and Therapy Data Management System.

Working hours are divided between day and evening shifts on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. On other days, only day shifts and every third weekend.

Medical Care Unit F is a combined outpatient clinic with a nephrology clinic, peritoneal dialysis, and hemodialysis. There are 33 treatment places for hemodialysis. We are part of the Medical Care area in Region Jönköping County.

Your Profile

We are looking for a licensed nurse, preferably with experience in the field, who wants to work with us in the Dialysis Unit at Ryhov County Hospital in Jönköping. You have a genuine interest in people and the whole picture. We have the opportunity to offer a temporary position with the possibility of a permanent employment.

The ability to collaborate in a group and between professions is crucial in our operations. We have close cooperation within the kidney section and with other units in the region. Together, we offer our patients the best possible care. You are confident in your role as a nurse and can work independently.
